Dr. Chandra Promoted to Professor

Dr. Venita Chandra has been promoted to the rank of Clinical Professor effective November 13, 2022.

"I am so delighted to share in the accomplishments of Dr. Venita Chandra and all she has done for Stanford Surgery and Vascular Surgery. I knew when I met her as a medical student nearly 20 years ago that she was destined for leadership and great honor," said Dr. Jason Lee, chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery. "As we celebrate her promotion I look forward to all the things she will continue to innovate in terms of advanced clinical care, education, and research! Dr. Chandra truly is a role model for everyone!"

Dr. Chandra completed Stanford's General Surgery Residency Program before continuing on to the Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Upon becoming faculty in  2014, she immediately signed on as Assistant Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program and advanced to Program Director for all Vascular Surgery Education Programs in 2020. 

Dr. Chandra founded Stanford's Advanced Wound Care Center in 2013 where she continues to be the director. She has published a multitude of papers and earned numerous awards including the VIVA Vascular Career Advancement Award in 2021.
