Dr. Visser Receives SCI Cancer Innovation Award

Dr. Brendan Visser's proposal “Evaluating Treatment Trends, Care Fragmentation and Outcomes for Pancreatic Cancer in California,” was selected for funding as one of the Stanford Cancer Institute's (SCI) 2020 Cancer Innovation Awardees.

The $50,000 in seed grant funding is designed to support projects focused on the acceleration of basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer research and collaborations leading to multi-PI peer-reviewed funding.

In the notification email, Rajat Rohatgi, MD, PhD wrote: "The SCI is delighted to support you and your strong, collaborative research."

Visser is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of General Surgery's HPB surgical oncology section.
