Dept. Welcomes 2024 Surgical Residency Intern Class

March 15, 2024

The National Residency Match Program announced today who would be attending Stanford Surgery. The department welcomed its largest intern class ever with General Surgery admitting eight categorical interns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery admitting four, and Vascular Surgery admitting two.

"The selection process for our incoming residents was rigorous and competitive, and we are grateful for the hard work and dedication of everyone involved," said Dr. Paige Fox, director of the plastic and reconstructive surgery residency program. "We received a large pool of exceptional candidates from across the country, and the decision-making process was a difficult one. Our selection committee was impressed by the academic accomplishments and passion for the field of plastic surgery that each of our new interns will bring to Stanford.”

The new intern class is expected to start in June 2024.
