Med Student Recognized for Work with HCC

Second-year Medical Student Josh Taylor has been recognized by two different organizations for his work with the Health Career Collaborative (HCC) East Palo Alto. Taylor was named a Student Scholar by the Society of Teachers in Family Medicine (STFM) during their annual meeting in Portland this past February. Taylor also received the Distinguished Poster Award at the Diversity in Medicine Conference at the University of Michigan earlier this month.
HCC East Palo Alto is a partnership between the Stanford Surgery and East Palo Alto Academy. The program was initiated during the 2018-19 academic year by Taylor and current Stanford General Surgery Resident Carlie Arbaugh. The HCC faculty sponsors at Stanford are Drs. Sherry Wren and James Korndorffer.
