General Surgery Chief Resident Aleah Brubaker, MD, PhD received the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching at the annual Stanford School of Medicine Awards.

"Finding opportunities and a variety of ways to connect and teach our junior residents and medical students is incredibly important to me," said Dr. Bubaker. "It was such an honor to receive this teaching award, and it really speaks to skills I’ve gathered from those who have taken the time to teach me."

Drs. Lucas Kipp and Tsuyoshi Mitarai, of neurology and emergency medicine respectively, also received the honor.
