Dr. Knowlton Selected for ACS, AWS Leadership Programs
June 24, 2024
In the past month, Dr. Lisa Knowlton was selected to participate in two different leadership programs.
Knowlton was named one of 15 Health Policy Scholars by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). She completed the Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She will serve in a health policy-related capacity for the ACS and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, which cosponsored her award.
The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) selected Knowlton to be part of their 2024 "Breaking the Glass Ceiling” Leadership Education cohort. The program provides funding to attend a leadership conference or course of her choosing. Knowlton will participate in the Executive Program in Leadership course through the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Knowlton is an associate professor in the Division of General Surgery’s Acute Care Surgery Section.
