Bamezai Receives VRIC Trainee Award

Sharika Bamezai received the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Foundation's Vascular Research Initiatives Conference (VRIC) Trainee Award. Her abstract “Safety And Efficacy Of Pro-efferocytic Nanoparticles To Treat Atherosclerosis In A Porcine Model” was one of the top-scoring for the VRIC program.
Bamezai will receive complimentary registration to VRIC and $1000 to support her travel expenses. Bamezai will present her research at the meeting which will take place on May 10, 2023 in Boston.
Bamezai is a postdoc in Dr. Nick Leeper's Vascular Medicine Lab and an MD candidate at the University of Michigan.
