Dr. Yelorda Joins Faculty

Dr. Kirbi Yelorda has been appointed a Clinical Assistant Professor effective September 1, 2025. Yelorda will join the Division of General Surgery’s Colorectal Section.
“We’re excited that Kirbi is joining our Stanford Department of Surgery faculty!” said Dr. Arden Morris, a fellow colorectal surgeon and Yelorda’s research mentor during residency. “She’ll bring new colorectal surgery robotics techniques, her amazing people skills, and a commitment to deepening the town-gown bond. Welcome back, Kirbi!””
Yelorda completed her Residency in General Surgery at Stanford before pursuing a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mount Sinai Health System, New York, NY. During her time at Stanford, Yelorda also completed a Masters in Health Research and Policy.
