Sivaraj Awarded AΩA Research Fellowship

Dharshan Sivaraj has been awarded a 2022 AΩA Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship. The fellowship includes $5,000 to support him while doing his research plus up to $1,000 for travel to present his results at a national meeting.

Sivaraj is a medical student working in the Hagey Lab. The title of his research project is: "Inhibiting Rac2 Signaling to Reduce Pathologic Foreign Body Response Around Biomedical Implants." While Stanford University has had a fellow every year since the award's inception in 2018, Sivaraj is the first in the Department of Surgery.
