Dr. Seib Receives K76 Award in Aging

Dr. Carolyn Seib received the National Institute on Aging K76 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging. According to Seib, "7-10 of these awards are funded each year with the goal of providing career development and advancing the leadership skills of medical and surgical specialists conducting clinically relevant basic, translational, or clinical, and Patient-Oriented Research in disciplines relevant to aging and geriatrics." Each award is up to 5 years, with up to $225,000 in direct costs per year.

Dr. Seib is an Assistant Professor in the Surgical Oncology: Endocrine Section at Stanford Surgery. She received funding from the National Institute on Aging and the American Thyroid Association to study the surgical management of endocrine disorders in older adultsĀ
