Dr. Sayed Receives R01

Dr. Nazish Sayed, an assistant professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery and The Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, has received an NIH-NHLBI R01 grant. The approximately $2M grant will fund the project: "Deciphering the Endothelial Cell-Cardiomyocyte Crosstalk in LMNA Cardiomyopathy" over five years.
"We will investigate the role of the vasculature in inherited cardiac diseases, thereby bridging work from both the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute," said Sayed.
