Dr. Sox-Harris Receives $1M VA Grant

Dr. Alex Sox-Harris has received a $1.1 million grant from the VA's Health Services Research & Development Service. The 3.5-year project, entitled "Addressing the Gap in Feasible, Valid, and Important Quality Measures for the Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome," includes Dr. Catherine Curtin as a co-investigator and will involve primary data collection at Stanford Hospital, two VA sites, the University of Michigan, and Cedars Sinai in LA.

"I'm excited to conduct a rigorous evaluation of the use of PROMs for quality measurement purposes in this context," said Sox-Harris.

Sox-Harris is  an associate professor at the S-SPIRE Center and Curtin is a professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
