"We want to extend our warmest welcome to our incoming interns who have been matched to our program. After a rigorous selection process, we are confident that these talented individuals will significantly contribute to our program and the field of surgery," wrote General Surgery Residency Program Director Dr. David Spain in his announcement to the department. "We would also like to express our gratitude to the faculty, staff, and current residents who participated in the interview and selection process. Your dedication and effort have been instrumental in helping us identify the best candidates for our program."

The new intern class is expected to start at the end of June 2023.
