Pediatric Surgery Receives Two MCHRI Grants

Two surgeons in the Division of Pediatric Surgery have received grants from Stanford's Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI):


• Dr. Jeong Hyun's proposal, “Characterization of Intestinal Fibrosis in Crohn’s Disease with Mesenteric Adipose Tissue” was approved for funding through the Pediatric IBD and Celiac Disease Research Program.
• Dr. James Dunn's proposal, “In vivo evaluation of short bowel function using soft bioelectronic sensors”, was approved for funding through the Transdisciplinary Initiatives Program (TIP).

Both awards offer up to $100,000 per year for up to two years.
