Dr. Leeper Receives Hoeg Award

July 26, 2021

Dr. Nicholas Leeper was selected to receive the 2021 Jeffrey M. Hoeg Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology Award. The Hoeg Award is sponsored by the American Heart Association’s Council on Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology and recognizes "an established investigator in the prime of his/her career who has made an outstanding contribution to furthering understanding of the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis and/or the development of treatment strategies for its prevention through basic science and clinical research efforts."

"I am truly honored to receive this incredible recognition, and frankly feel a little embarrassed when I look at the names of past recipients (many of my scientific heroes)," said Leeper.

The award will be officially presented during "Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine Scientific Sessions" in September of this year.
