Dr. Hawn Receives Award for Abdominal Wall Reconstruction

Dr. Mary Hawn
Dr. Mary Hawn is the recipient of the 2024 MedStar Georgetown Distinguished Achievement Award in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction (AWR). Dr. Hawn will accept the award at the annual AWR Conference on June 7 and 8 in Tyson’s Corner, VA.
The recipient is selected by consensus from the Chair of the conference, Dr. Parag Bhanot, the three co-directors, and the rest of the faculty who have accepted their invitations. Selection is based primarily on the contributions the individual has made to advance the field of AWR and hernia surgery.
