Dr. Foster Receives NIH Kirschstein-NRSA Postdoctoral Fellowship

Dr. Deshka Foster, a general surgery resident, has been awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award by the National Institutes of Health. The F32 fellowship includes more than $65,000 to fund her research project "Cancer-associated fibroblast clonality, chromatin accessibility, and therapeutic targeting in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma stroma."
Dr. Foster is a PhD candidate in Dr. Michael Longaker's lab, with Dr. Jeff Norton also as a mentor.
