Dr. Chan Named DiGenova Faculty Scholar

Dr. Charles Chan, an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, has been named a DiGenova Faculty Scholar. The scholarship is named after Anthony DiGenova, an SF real estate mogul. Though DiGenova never attended Stanford, he left large distributions of his trust to Stanford Athletics and stem cell research. The endowed scholar award will fund Chan's lab's work to reduce the effects of gaining through the use of stem cells in the amount of approximately $100K a year for four years.
