Drs. Wagner, Chan, and Vashi Receive VA Grant to Create Center for Policy Evaluation

Drs. Todd Wagner, David Chan, and Anita Vashi have been awarded a five-year grant ($820k per year) by the VA to create a Center for Policy Evaluation (CPE). The goal of the center is to "conduct timely, rigorous evaluations to assess the effectiveness of policy, programs, and interventions in the field, helping VA become a learning health care system."
Dr. Wagner is a Professor in the S-SPIRE Center and directs the Health Economics Resource Center at the Palo Alto VA. His co-PIs on the project are Dr. David Chan, an associate professor at Stanford's Health Policy and an investigator at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and Dr. Anita Vashi, a physician investigator at the Center for Innovation to Implementation at the VA Palo Alto. The Center will unite 30 colleagues from the VA Palo Alto and Stanford University.
