Dr. Staudenmayer Appointed to ACS Committee on Trauma

Dr. Kristan Staudenmayer, an associate professor in the Division of General Surgery, has been appointed to the American College of Surgeons' (ACS) Committee on Trauma (COT). The membership comprises a term of three years, to begin with the Committee's Annual Meeting in March 2020.

As part of her appointment, Dr. Staudenmayer will serve on three subcommittees: Advocacy and Health Policy, Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS), and the Congress Planning Committee.

"The ACS COT has had a large impact on outcomes after trauma, and are continuing to new mechanisms to grow that impact," said Dr. Staudenmayer. "In addition to supporting these efforts, I hope to take what we have learned about trauma systems here at Stanford to the national level."
