Dr. Hawn joins SHC Board

Department of Surgery Chair Dr. Mary Hawn will join the Stanford Health Care (SHC) Board of Directors. According to its by-laws, the SHC Board has a myriad of responsibilities from long-range strategic planning to maintaining facilities and adopting budgets.
"It is a great honor to join the SHC Board, particularly at this time when we are opening our new hospital and expanding our programs across the bay area," said Dr. Hawn. "I look forward from learning from the tremendous leadership on the board and working to continue to elevate Stanford Medicine’s reputation."
Dr. Hawn's three-year term will start in January 2020.
