Stanford Surgery Graduates 10 Residents

Stanford Department of Surgery graduated 10 residents this June; six from the Division of General Surgery, three from the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and one from the Division of Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Shushmita Ahmed (general surgery) will do the MIS fellowship at UC Davis.

Dr. Aleah Brubaker (general surgery) will do the Abdominal Transplant Fellowship at Stanford.

Dr. Joy Chen (general surgery) will do the colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Benjamin Colvard (vascular surgery) has taken a position as an assistant professor of surgery at Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Micaela Esquivel (general surgery) will do the MIS fellowship at Stanford.

Dr. William Kethman (general surgery) will do the colorectal surgery fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Brice Pridgen (plastic and reconstructive surgery) will do a hand fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. Kristine Rustad (plastic and reconstructive surgery) will do a microsurgery fellowship at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Sarah Sorice (plastic and reconstructive surgery) will do a microsurgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Peter Than (general surgery) will do the Abdominal Transplant Fellowship at Stanford.

"We have three great chiefs graduating this year.  All are continuing their training in top fellowships. We are very proud of all that our graduates have accomplished in the past 7 years and we look forward to watching their careers skyrocket."
